X-men First Class

So the movie revolves around the plot of how the X-men started out and how Magneto became a villain.  The main plot revolves around another mutant named Sebastian Shaw who tries to start a nuclear World War 3 so that he can start destroying mankind.  Charles Xavier (Professor X) and his team go on several missions in order to stop Shaw.  Although this is probably not part of the plot I can also imagine that since Sebastian Shaw's ability is to absorb raw power he would probably also want to absorb the power from a few nuclear bombs.  Once Shaw absorb the power he can reuse it to devastating effect.   The other main plot is Erik Lensherr's (Magneto) mission of revenge against Sebastian Shaw since Shaw kills Lensherr's mother at the beginning of the movie in an attempt to stir up Lensherr's magnetic superpowers.  I like how the movie provides the back story to the X-men universe, although I'm not sure how much of the story was actually inspired from the comic books.  I like how the movie thinks of small details as well, such as the back story as to how Charles Xavier gets paralyzed from the waist down.  Overall the plot was well written, I like how the story flows however the dialogue needed more work.  It was a fun movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Plus Wolverine's cameo was hilarious!  Also while I was procrastinating on this 'review' I also searched around Wikipedia for the new characters in the movie who I had not seen before and found out they all appeared in the comic books in the past, cool stuff.  I guess the writers needed to use new characters since most the characters in the original trilogy are young, with only Mystique, the Beast, Wolverine, Professor X and Magneto being aged old enough to appear in both the original movie trilogy and this prequel.
